I came across a few easter eggs Google's put into their search technology, and I thought I'd share them with you all. ![]() - Enter 'the answer to life, the universe, and everything' as a search term, and Google Calculator will tell you. (A reference to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) - Enter 'number of horns on a unicorn'. - Enter 'once in a blue moon'. - Enter 'recursion' and click on the spelling correction. Also, if you go to Google Translate, translating 'table' from Spanish to English produces interesting results. Just for the heck of it, here's a list of Google's April Fools' Day jokes: - [2000] Google MentalPlex, a mind-reading search function. - [2002] PidgeonRank, the secret behind Google's search technology. - [2004] Google Copernicus Center, featuring job opportunities at a research center on the moon. - [2005] Google Gulp, an IQ-increasing drink. - [2006] Google Romance, a practical utilization of Google's search function. - [2007] Gmail Paper, leading the way in the battle against nature. - [2008] Google Adsense for Conversations. - [2009] Google Chrome 3D and gBall. Enjoy! |

The Gmail paper one is funny. A service like that would be cool, but the Post Office would go out of business. ![]() Whoah, it gave me green text for no reason. Cool. Edited by Stormtrooper30, Oct 17 2009, 03:48 PM.

I've always found it strange that they can make billions of dollars when all of their services are free, lol |
