Give up. She will never look twice at you. And don't listen to Jana when she comes in here to tell you that you should have hope.

Doesn't hurt to ask her out.. Worst you can get is a no. If you ask a girl out that is your grade you could be haunted for the rest of your school life, while asking a senior girl (best is grade 12) you will only be haunted for the rest of the year). But if you actually get together it might not work out very long because she will most likely dump you after she graduates. My $0.02 Edited by Shmithers, Mar 20 2009, 07:37 PM.

Then you get the occasional 'you've got ballz' look and comments from other seniors, just by asking her out. But the again, your chances are close to none in succeeding |

Really though, it's not such a big thing as you're making it out to be. Everything usually turns out better then we initially believe. Just do it.

Love you! Ok, MC2594... When I was in high school a lot of the senior guys dated freshman girls, but I never really saw it the other way around. It really depends on the kind of girl she is. I went to homecoming as a senior with a sophomore and nobody really thought anything of it. I had fun and he was a sweet guy. I was also his first date, which was cute. What you need to do is asses the friendship you have and the kind of girl she is. Is she the kind of girl who strives to be popular or is she happy being who she is? Is she a sweetheart or is she kind of stuck up? Is she only nice to you when her friends aren't around? The only reason I'm asking this is because it's rather uncommon for a girl to date a guy who is that much younger that she is. Is she confident enough to do something less common or would she be embarrassed? Does she talk to you a lot? Is it just in passing, or do you guys sit and have conversations? Are you thinking a one-time date or a relationship? Just think about it and do what you think is best for you! And don't listen to Storm.

Always a good rule of thumb. If all you've been doing is having short posts between each other on Facebook, then you should not ask her out. Because if you talk to her in the RL and ask her out, she will prolly freak out and wonder who the hell you are. I would suggest talking to her face to face more often. And if you like her just from what she posts on the internet, then your view of her is not even a quarter of the real picture. Oh, and senior girls don't normally date freshmen guys. It just looks bad for them (as terrible as that is). |

ah the art of intel collecting. Word of advice, if you are indeed going to recon the info, DON'T LET HER EVEN GET THE SLIGHTEST HINT that you are getting info on her, she might think that you are a stalker. Funny thing was a girl was trying to dig some *BLAM* up about a friend of mine, she thought he was cute, she asked me about him. My friend was right next to me when she did. lol And MC, how is it possible that she is in some of your classes? |

It's not like Jana is telling MC to stalk her and find out her entire background history...just to make sure he knows in general what kind of girl she is. |

Maybe you should look at the long term. She will be gone in 2 months. Then what will you do? Because I can bet my sweet ass that a college girl will NOT go out with a Sophmore in High School. |

No, I wasn't talking about the practical aspects of it. I'm talking about the social repercussions that she would recieve if she went to college while still dating a 15ish year old high school student. |

I have to agree here... Unless she fell madly in love with you, a relationship would not last beyond her graduation. That's just what happens. College guys are much different from high school guys, plus they are more accessible. I only know of college guys to go to Prom/Homecoming with their high school girlfriends. I've never seen it work the other way around. And thanks, for clarifying for me Hobbies. I never asked him to stalk her, just figure out if she's even worth the effort. You can get all the info I suggested from simply observing her in her element. P.S. Are you sure you even like her or is she just pretty and occasionally nice to you? You're not star-struck, right? That happens sometimes... |

Aha, I thought this day would never come. ![]() Words of wisdom Jana, I have a friend in college who dated a girl one grade below his. They had some problems the first year he was in college, but after that its been smooth sailing. But a four year difference and the sexes being switched? It just isn't practical. |

Ya, it's like me having a crush on one of the Toronto Argonauts Football team's cheerleaders. (oh wait, you are not supposed to know that ).Anyways, MC, main point is that it's the age difference and the position switch for the sexes. Not to discourage you and all but, she is a no go on this one man. |

Literally, it means you're fascinated and/or obsessed with someone's fame. I took it down to your level, though, meaning: do you just like her because she's an older girl, who just happens to be nice to you sometimes? |
