Well, I just bought it for Half-Life 2: Episode 2 and Portal, and it was well worth the money. Does anyone else share my enjoyment for this series? (No Spoilers for Ep 2 please :)

Five amazing games for $50/$60? Has to be one of the greatest game deals ever.

I've got it for PC. Portal is great, although I'm stuck on a level (15, I believe). I've never played Half Life before, so it's nice and new for me, and it's gotten me hooked since the beginning. Which reminds me, do I need to play the first Half Life to have a good grip on the story, or do I even need to know the story from the first game? I know there was some accident and aliens started killing everything, that's about it. :P Please, tell me more info. if you think I need it!

And Team Fortress is insane. Very fast, very fun.

No man, I actually went out and bought Half Life when I got into Half Life 2 because the first one was critically acclaimed as well, and wanted to see if I was missing any of the story line. The storyline for the first one is basically as follows:

1. Testing was going on at a place known as Black Mesa.

2. Portal Testing went wrong at Black Mesa.

3. Mean Aliens.

4. You kill the Aliens.

5. Happy World.

Black Mesa is just known as the place where a lot of bad sh*t went down, and Gordon Freeman saved the world. That is why everyone is like "It is an honor to be in your presence Freeman" in Half Life 2. For $10 Half Life is a good buy nowadays and lets you see how advanced the game was for it's time.

If your having Problems with Portal, let me know and I'll try and help you. It took me about 1:45 to 2 hours to beat it so just let me know. Also, Portal has the best ending in gaming history in my opinion.

On a final note Stormy, rent this game or just go buy the package. It comes with Half Life 2, Half Life 2: Episode One, Half Life 2: Episode 2, Portal (worth the money alone), and Team Fortress 2 (also worth the money.)

Honestly when Halo 2 came out, Half Life 2 was released for PC in the same year, and recieved more game of the year awards than Halo 2 did. But I didn't pay any attention to it because I was so sided with Halo. But let me tell you this- When I finally did play through Half Life 2, I liked it more than Halo, and to this day still do. A playthrough of just the first few levels changed that for me.

I don't like it more in an action gaming sense, but when it comes to storyline, interaction, and straight up cool sh*t, I think it beats Halo in it's innovativeness. Oh well, I guess I honestly can't convey my point enough to you unless this gets you to rent it. If you want, I could teach you how to download it for free. I gots work in a couple hours and need some sleep. Bye Bye peepz.

Just got around to beating it, and, I must agree, the ending is ingenious. Portal is so clever! It's definitely worth the money on its own!

Dude I loved it! I was sitting there with my friend, laughing my ass off, and he was just sitting there with a straight face! What a bump on a log.

I want this game so badly....

I can't afford to eat, but if I came into 40 bucks any time soon, I'd get the OB first.

Well, after a Guy Fawkes mask and an afro.
What's not is as important as what is.

Honestly to say, Half Life has a bigger and better storyline then Halo, and allows you to absorb the story at a balanced pace. And the Source engine still looks great after 3 years.

And I'd still pay full price for Halo 1 and 2

OMG.

Portal is winnage in video game form.
To thine own self be true... and it shall follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man.
