"Hurry the hell up, Yah damn droids!" Kex yelled at the labor droids who where busy stacking the nondescript crates into the cargo container.

The gritty landing bay on an asteroid in the middle of no where was quickly wearing Kexs patience thin. From the moment Zealous One had set down they had faced nothing but bad luck. The forward thrusters had been damaged by floating debris when they set down, The Cloud Skipper had been late delivering the crates, and to top it off Kex had to wait now for further instructions and confirmation on the delivery. At this rate he wouldn't be surprised if it was all a setup by the Republic. He had no idea where he was going, or for who.

"So, why are you guys not doing the full run?" Kex asked the captain of the Cloud-Skipper, a Devaronion of diminutive stature.

"Boss Paulik never told us, outta da loop we're. But it aint not like we're short o' work. We gotta a rendezvous with one'o dem der slave trader ships some-few half dozen parsecs from 'ere." The Devaronion Stammered.

"Yeah, it's not like I don't appreciate the work. You can thank Boss Paulik and send him my regards."

Maybe work was good for Pauliks thugs but anyone who wasn't directly working for a crime lord got boned in this sector. Work is tough for free-lancers, we take what we can get. If Paulik wants to throw some scraps every once and a while that would be wonderful.

The Devaronion and his crew had finished unloading and the Cloud-skipper departed. The droids continued to load everything onto the container, and Koth was finishing up fixing the forward thrusters. All Kex had to do now was wait.
